Jessica Garza Talks – Ep. #1 – Nomadic Work Tools I Prefer

So, you’re a digital nomad. While it sounds exciting, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. One of the biggest challenges is putting together the perfect toolkit that saves time and makes your day smoother. It can be frustrating trying to figure out the best laptop charger, webcam for virtual meetings, or Wi-Fi modem that works everywhere, even in remote areas.

Hi, I’m Jessica Garza, and I'm here to help you find the best tools for your nomadic work life. Ready to dive in?

First, any laptop with a fast processor will do. You can stick with your favorite brand or the one you’ve been loyal to for years. Personally, I use the HP Spectre Series and upgrade whenever a new model comes out.

If you care about good posture, a laptop stand is essential, especially if you have a table and chair setup in your caravan or travel on trains or planes. I recommend Roost’s Laptop Stand because it’s lightweight and easy to use.

When it comes to chargers, the key is power and capacity. More USB ports aren’t necessarily better. I’ve tried many chargers, and Anker’s Nano II is my favorite because it’s powerful, has high capacity, and offers fast charging.

Monitors are optional, but carrying around a desktop setup isn’t practical for a digital nomad.

USB cables are a must, and Anker is a reliable choice. For a keyboard and mouse, go with Logitech.

The internet modem is crucial. Without it, none of your other equipment matters. Nomad Internet’s Nomad Air Modem is the best option. It works even in the most remote locations in the U.S., offering lightning-fast speeds of over 200 mb/s, Wi-Fi 6 technology, and can connect to 128 devices simultaneously. If you’re always on the move, the Nomad Travel Kit System is also worth considering.

I use it and highly recommend it.

Those are my top suggestions for a nomadic work toolkit. There might be other great options out there, and I’d love to hear about them. For now, I’ve got to go.
